The City of Peoria seems desperate to prove it’s not Hell on Earth for black people

eye_on_city_hall(Peoria, IL) In a recent online article, published by 24/7 Wall Street, Peoria ranked number 1 among its 10 “Worst Cities for Black Americans. This topic has been addressed at two council meetings, with both an official response and presentation, found HERE , along with a link to the above article.

The community is invited to attend an upcoming workshop on December 6 at the Gateway Building, beginning at 6 p.m.. Attendees, working with city staff in small groups, will get the opportunity to address the issues of economic disparity, health, employment and education as well as identify solutions to move forward. The success of moving forward relies on community participation and involvement. We look forward to a robust discussion.
