I ran into Glen Oak Grade School and Woodruff High School alum Dion Hardy at Starbucks the other day. He’s into town from South Florida via motorcycle. There’s a 35th annual reunion for the WHS Class of 1981 at Lucky’s in Peoria Heights at 6 p.m. Friday.
Jeebus … has it been 35 years? There are people I. WILL. NOT. RECOGNIZE. And there are people who have not aged a single year.
Most members of the Class of 81 have vanished into the hinterlands. I am one of maybe five who stuck around,
Anyway, I’ll try to be there.
Woodruff High School was the best place to go to school in Peoria for about 10 years there … too bad the swelled heads who ran District 150 decided to close it.
